This page provides a list and time table for actual and proposed theme events to be run by NASAMW in Armati, DBM and Warrior/Fast Warrior at Historicon and Cold Wars from 2004 through 2013.
Based on the data gathered at Historicon 2003, and if there is no HMGS theme to support, we are implementing the following plan. Every Cold Wars, members will have the opportunity to suggest a theme for the next survey. We will do this by placing a suggestion box at the event scorers’ table. If a member can’t make it to Cold Wars, they may then email their suggestion to the ChUmp. After Cold Wars, the nominated themes will be printed/posted. At the following Historicon the ChUmp shall conduct a survey to determine the Theme for the fifth year out. We are two years behind in this plan at the moment, so, to catch up, the 2007 and 2008 themes are based on results taken at Historicon, 2003. Next year we will vote for the theme for 2009. This will give most folks a chance to paint their armies and give the dealers a chance to get a production schedule together. To keep themes from reoccurring too soon/often, a theme that is already in the plan may not make the current survey. For example, we will be doing the Roman Empire in 2004. It cannot be on the survey for 2004, but will have to wait for suggestion in 2005, so it can’t be back until 2010.
The rules representatives will have six months from the announcement of the next theme to post the army lists’ and any special rules that they wish to incorporate into that theme. The deadline for the two themes that I have just posted will be done by Cold Wars. This is not to say that changes can’t/won’t be made, but we will strive to have something posted by then.
Note on Cold Wars Themes: The current plan is that the three themes listed in black are firm (currently 2004-2006 ) and that players and dealers can plan their painting and range releases around this time table, if they so desire. The remaining scheduled Themes in red are working proposals. We are always interested in alternative suggestions from creative individuals. So if you have an idea, please submit an email to the web master with the title of your theme, its chronological and geographical boundaries, and at least a preliminary list of armies (with any limitations).
