Region 5 Tournament Circuit
The Region 5 Tournament Circuit (R5TC) awards points for tournament performance and determines who will be our Regional Champion. The R5TC winner receives a regional championship invitation to the National Invitational Championship Tournament (NICT). Anyone who plays in a qualifying tournament is eligible to earn points and the champion need not be a Region 5 player.
In order for an event to qualify for inclusion in the R5TC it has to be held within NASAMW Region 5, it must be open to anyone who wishes to play, have no less than 6 players, and it must be publicly announced at least three weeks prior to the event.
Points are awarded based upon a player's placing in an event, with a bonus point for each tournament game won. Theme events may also have bonus points for event-specific goals such as baggage sacking, general killing, etc. provided that those bonus points are specified in the event announcement.
