M.A.C.S |
In an effort to increase participation in De Bellis Multitudinis wargame rules in the Kentucky - Indiana area, several gamers have joined together to form this confederacy. Currently there are no by-laws or membership fees and while affiliated with neither NASAMW nor HMGS, players will be encouraged to join both. In the future we hope to participate with other local clubs in team challenges and draw more from the Michigan and Northern Indiana areas. So far the following events are planned:
- January: Viking Fury, to be held in Princeton IN
- February: Birthday Bash, to be held in Indianapolis IN
March: March Madness, to be held in Indianapolis IN
May: Indy Ambush, to be held in Indianapolis IN
August: Summer Fury, to be held in Indianapolis IN- September: Fall Fury, to be held in Indianapolis IN
- November: MAC Championship, to be held in Indianapolis IN
Scoring will be 32 - 0 and results will be submitted to the North American & Regional Scoring website. Each tournaments format is left up to the host but most will be single day events, one list and 400-point games lasting 3.5 hours. There is enough room during the course of the year for additional events and more will be planned. Indy Game fest is large enough for a two-day affair and will serve as the M.A.C.S Championship.
To determine the overall "Grand Poobah" of the M.A.C.S. each event with 6 or more players will receive points for first through fourth place finishers (20 points for 1st, 15 points for 2nd, 10 points for 3rd, 5 points for 4th). The winner of Indy Game fest will receive 10 bonus points to be added to the final scoring. The winner will have their name engraved on the traveling trophy and other prizes to be determined later.
Contact Scott "Madcam" Jeske for details.

Major announcement: For the 2004 MAC season, we will be changing the way MAC points are awarded. Players will have their best two tournament scores added which will be the base they take into the Series Championship in December 2004. For example, Player Amakes it to 3 events and finishes 2nd, 4th, and 6th. They have earned 20 MAC points going into the MAC championship. The MAC will be score the same 20/15/10/5 split for 1st through 4th place with the 10-point bonus. To determine the overall MAC winner you will add your base (if any) to what you earn in the MAC.
