Chuck Hines graciously backed out to even up the numbers and instead helped a New Guy learn the rules.  The New Guy ended up playing in Round 2 when Dennis Shorthousewho runs the On Military Matters booth in the dealer roomhad to skip the second round due to an emergency at the booth.  Danny Weitz helped the New Guy so well that he managed to beat himself.  I awarded him bonus points for sportsmanship.

Everyone was welcome to bring as many DBA armies as they liked and we set up a "buffet" table of armies (see attached photograph). On the first round we were allowed to choose any army on the table, including our own. On the subsequent two rounds all armies were placed back on the table and the army you played was chosen at random by drawing army names from a hat. Therefore each player played with three different armies.
